Just when the New Year’s about to begin, we write different goals that we promise to achieve. We know that there are a lot of things that we would want to do and just because we couldn’t do them in the previous year, we would do them in the coming year. Here are six ways to stick to your resolutions throughout the entire year.
But how many times do you actually stick to your so-called New Year’s resolutions? How many times do you actually make time to perform the things that you couldn’t, last year, either?
Well, if you have not been able to keep up with the last year’s resolutions, here is a list of top six ways to create and stick to all your New Year’s resolutions:
1)It is not always about dieting; just because a new year is starting doesn’t mean you need to starve yourself. If you are planning for weight-loss, make sure you start with something like – ‘to visit a good nutritionist to lose weight’, rather than starting with – ‘to lose 50 pounds by the end of this year.’
2)Make sure you write realistic goals, rather than writing something that won’t make sense to you after a certain period of time. For an instance, if you are planning to read new books, your resolution should be something like – ‘to read more than six new books this year’, rather than – ‘to read 80 new books this year.’ Unless you are literally a ‘bookworm’, you can’t read so many books in a year.
3)Write specific months in the resolution. If you want to learn guitar, your resolution must contain a specific month. For an instance, ‘to learn Guitar basics by June and complete advanced sessions by November.’
4)If possible, mention the time as well. This can be done, only if your resolution is to do something every day. Here’s an example – ‘to paint for an hour (9am to 10am) every day.’
5)Well, the good news is that your New Year’s resolutions can be related to sex as well. If you want to enhance your sex-life, make a resolution to get emotionally connected to your partner. Schedule date nights and uphold those dates.
6)If you really want to stick to all of your resolutions, you need to keep yourself motivated enough for the same. With the help of ten minutes’ meditation every day, you can easily detox, relax and encourage yourself to achieve all that you want to.
